Every correction or update to this guide, with its date. If something looks wrong, use "Report an error" on the step.

Steps verified 15 October 2026

  1. After registering: you do not file form 130 if at least 70% of the previous year's professional income had withholding, and under módulos you file form 131. The Social Security step now says the official TA.0521 form exists and that the guide uses Import@ss because it is faster.

Steps affected: Social Security registration (Import@ss), After registering

  2. The Social Security registration is due on the day you start at the latest; we explain what happens if you are late (no reductions, possible fine, a different service after 30 days).

Steps affected: What registering as self-employed means, Social Security registration (Import@ss), What you will pay: contributions, flat rate and yearly adjustment

  3. First version of this process.
